Checkmate is a fun little chess game that makes learning how to play chess fun. You also get to play with the regular chess pieces, like kings, queens, and pawns. There are 500 different game boards, so every game is fresh and new. The objective is simple – the same goal as real chess – trap your opponents king, win!

How to Play

You each take a turn moving a piece, one per turn, like standard chess. VideoTap a piece to select it; tap where you want it to go. Don’t be afraid to capture your opponent’s pieces while defending your own. The game teaches you while you play, revealing which moves are most effective. Play easy boards first, and tougher boards as you improve!ether you’re playing for the first time or the hundredth time, there’s always something new to learn.
